Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Hazy Botanicals products.

Can you ship to my state?

Since hemp distribution is federally legal, Hazy Botanicals is able to ship to most states across the U.S. However, because state laws differ, especially when it comes to potency limits and other regulatory details, some products may not be eligible for shipment in certain areas. To make things easy, each product notes whether that specific formulation can be shipped to your location.

Who is Hazy Botanicals?

Hazy Botanicals is a modern cannabis wellness brand shaped by experienced leadership with deep roots in regulated industries, consumer products, and emerging plant-based innovation. Inspired by the professional paths of Ryan Ratzloff (CEO), Jonathan Kane, PhD (CSO), and Erik Root (COO), the company blends strategic vision, operational discipline, and product-forward creativity.

Their collective influence shows up in a brand built on trust, compliance, and thoughtful growth paired with a strong focus on product quality and consumer experience. Hazy Botanicals emphasizes premium formulations, reliable standards, and approachable education, creating products designed for both new and experienced consumers.

The result is a house of brands that balances innovation with responsibility, bringing refined, dependable cannabis experiences to a broad and evolving audience.

Is this legal?

Absolutely. The 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act, often referred to as the Farm Bill, federally legalized hemp and products derived from it. The law permits hemp compounds, including THC, to be extracted and used in infused products as long as the final product contains no more than 0.3% THC by net weight.

All Hazy Botanicals products (SUNO, Potpots & PIXILS) are independently tested by third-party laboratories to verify their cannabinoid content and ensure they remain well under this federal threshold. Because they meet these requirements, they qualify as federally legal hemp products. This interpretation of the law has also been reinforced through multiple rulings by the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.

What will happen to the products when the regulation of hemp changes?

Most hemp products currently sold online with meaningful THC content are likely to become federally unlawful under the new definition of hemp starting November 12, 2026, unless Congress changes course. In any case in which the products we currently produce become unlawful, we will reformulate these products and adjust the availability of particular formulations in accordance with the changes to the laws.

What is the difference between hemp and regulated cannabis?

The key difference between hemp and regulated cannabis, often referred to as 'marijuana,' mostly comes down to how the law defines them. Both come from the same cannabis plant but hemp is legally classified as cannabis that contains 0.3% Delta 9 THC or less by weight. If it has more THC than that, it is considered regulated cannabis.

Because of this distinction, hemp products can be sold and shipped legally, while products classified as regulated cannabis are subject to individual state laws and restrictions.

What products are best for me?

That all depends on what you are looking for. At Hazy Botanicals, we've got a variety of options from all three brands — SUNO, Potpots and PIXILS. Our product selections allow you to find the right product to fit your vibe, routine, or moment of your day.

Some products are made for a more fun, recreational experience, while others are designed with wellness in mind, like helping you relax, wind down for sleep, or boost your mood midday. Are your products sugar/gluten/dairy free?

Yes! We know dietary needs and sensitivities matter. That's why Hazy Botanicals offers options that are sugar-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free so you can choose what works best for your body and lifestyle.

To make shopping simple, products that meet these preferences are clearly labeled with easy-to-spot icons right on the packaging and product pages. Just look for the symbols that match your needs and you're good to go.

How do I figure out what the dosage is on my tincture?

Tincture dosing is easier than it looks. Start by checking the label on your bottle. You'll see the total amount of cannabinoids in the bottle (for example, 1,000 mg) and the bottle size (often 30 mL).

Our tinctures come with a marked dropper. A full dropper is 1mL, so you can divide the total cannabinoids by the number of milliliters in the bottle to find your per-dropper amount. Example: A 1,000 mg tincture in a 30 mL bottle = about 33 mg per full dropper.

You can also adjust your serving by using a half or quarter dropper if you want a lighter amount. If math isn't your thing, the packaging and product page for Hazy Botanicals tinctures list the per-serving amount to make it quick and simple.

Are your products sativa, indica or hybrid?

Not exactly, and that's okay. Those descriptors are typically used to describe whole cannabis flower, not finished extract products. Once cannabinoids are extracted and formulated into tablets, tinctures or any other edibles, the traditional sativa, indica and hybrid categories don't really apply in a meaningful way to be able to anticipate effect.

Instead, our products are crafted around specific cannabinoid blends and intended effects, like relaxation, focus, or balanced experiences. This gives you the opportunity to choose based on how you want to feel rather than the plant type.

What is the difference between Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC?

If you have used cannabis before, you've most likely had Delta-9 THC. This is the main compound that creates a high and it occurs naturally in both hemp and regulated cannabis plants. All THC-infused Hazy Botanicals products use Delta-9 THC.

Delta-8 THC is a slightly altered version of Delta-9 that doesn't naturally occur in meaningful amounts in the plant. To make Delta-8 products, it has to be chemically converted in a lab. That process can create unwanted byproducts, and oversight of these products is very limited. There's also not much research yet on long-term health effects.

Because of that, many consumers prefer products made with naturally occurring Delta-9 THC and choose to avoid products made with Delta-8.

Is it possible to overdose on these products?

It's extremely unlikely to experience a life-threatening overdose from hemp-derived cannabinoids like THC or CBD. That said, taking more than your body is comfortable with can lead to an unpleasant experience. Too much THC may cause effects like anxiety, dizziness, nausea, or feeling overly intoxicated.

The best approach is to start low and go slow, especially if you're new or trying a new product. Pay attention to serving sizes and give products enough time to take effect before having more.

All Hazy Botanicals products include clear dosing guidance on the label and product pages to help you find an amount that feels right for you. If you ever feel uncomfortable, stay hydrated, rest and remember the effects will wear off with time.

Why do you need to verify my age?

Because our products are intended for adults only. Laws require age verification before purchasing hemp-derived cannabinoid products to help keep them out of the hands of minors.

Age checks also support responsible use and ensure we're meeting state and federal compliance requirements. Hazy Botanicals uses secure verification tools to confirm eligibility while protecting your privacy and personal information.
